OUR LEADERSHIP

Meet the People Helping Guide Our Mission.

Our Board of Directors brings together dedicated community leaders who share a commitment to helping older adults stay independent, active, and connected. Their experience, leadership, and passion help guide Neighbors Network today and into the future.

Cindy Williams

Executive Director

Cindy is an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than 16 years of experience growing programs, teams, and organizations across the education, healthcare, and social service sectors. She became Executive Director of Neighbors Network in January 2026 with funding from the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation. Her career has included leadership roles with the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Diocese of Orlando’s Office of Catholic Schools, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, and other Central Florida organizations. She also spent 10 years at the Orlando Sentinel managing corporate giving and grantmaking through the McCormick Foundation and has served several nonprofits through her consulting company.

Cindy’s connection to the Neighbors Network mission is personal. After helping her aunt navigate the loss of her husband and the loneliness that followed, she saw firsthand the importance of having a strong community nearby. Her vision is for Neighbors Network to become widely known throughout the community, connecting more older adults with the Volunteers and support that help them remain independent and connected. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys fostering puppies and kittens, traveling with her husband and children, staying active, and spending time outdoors.

Cathy Lieblich

Board President and Executive Committee

I have a passion for the mission of Neighbors Network to support Members 55+ living independently at home, keeping them connected to their community through volunteer services that provide rides, home tasks, technology support, social activities, and continued personal engagement.

I’ve been involved with Neighbors Network since the beginning, first serving on the Advisory Council and then the Board of Directors. My vision for the future of Neighbors Network is to grow the membership, volunteer and donor base to be able to serve more older adults in the current service area and eventually to expand the service area.

Since retiring in 2022 from a 42-year career in the field of aging and social work, I have devoted my volunteer work to continuing my passion for improving the quality of life of older adults. My family and close friends are very important to me, especially my only grandchild who will be 4 years old in September 2025. My husband (who is also retired) and I also enjoy traveling when we can.

Patty Daoust

Vice President and Executive Committee

I support Neighbors Network because of my experience with my own parents. After hearing a presentation given by Neighbors Network founder Annette Kelly, I realized how lucky they were to have me living nearby. I am acutely aware of the needs of older adults who live independently and am happy to be of service to our members. My background is a bit different than the rest of the Board. I come from a tech background, with a degree in Computer Science and an MBA. I’ve lived in the Winter Park/Maitland area since I was two years old. My husband and my two sons were born and raised here. My career included supporting research at the Naval Training Center and developing marketing and strategic planning software for banks and credit unions. I served as Board Chairwoman for a local credit union and am currently the Recording Secretary for the Maitland Woman’s Club.

Mary T. Scott

Volunteers Chair and Executive Committee

I’ve been involved with Neighbors Network since the beginning, when Annette Kelly first shared her vision for helping older adults continue living independently with support from trusted Volunteers. The mission immediately resonated with me because I had helped my own mother remain independent for years after my father passed away. Since then, I’ve served on the Advisory Council and Board while also getting to know and support our Members and Volunteers along the way.

What I value most about Neighbors Network is the community of thoughtful, generous people who give their time and talents to help others. I’m proud of the impact Neighbors Network has on both Members and Volunteers and look forward to seeing that impact continue to grow. Outside of Neighbors Network, I’m a professional leadership coach and have been married to my wonderful husband, Jack, for more than 50 years.

Melanie Lee

Community Outreach and Marketing Chair

I volunteer with Neighbors Network because helping older adults maintain their independence and connection to their community has always been personal to me. Growing up, I learned the importance of showing up for others, and as my grandparents aged, I helped with everything from rides and meals to household tasks and companionship. Today, my husband and I own a home health care agency, so I continue to see firsthand how much of a difference one person can make in someone’s daily life.

As Community Outreach and Marketing Co-Chair, I’m proud to help spread the word about Neighbors Network and connect more people with its mission. My vision is to see the organization grow into more Central Florida communities by expanding our Volunteer network and reaching more older adults. Outside of Neighbors Network, I’m active in leadership at First United Methodist Church of Orlando and enjoy traveling, hiking, singing, cooking, and spending time with my husband, our three children, and four grandchildren.
