HOW WE HELP

A Little Help Can Make Everyday Life Easier.

Staying independent doesn’t mean you have to do everything on your own. Neighbors Network connects Members with trusted Volunteers, practical support, social opportunities, and community resources that make it easier to keep living life your way.

SUPPORT ON YOUR TERMS

Everyday Help, Right in Your Community.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

A ride when you don’t feel like driving. Help figuring out your phone. An extra set of hands for a project around the house. Someone to take a walk with. A reason to get out and meet new people.

Neighbors Network gives adults 55+ a trusted community to turn to when a little support would make life easier, while keeping you in control of how and when you use it.

RIDES & ERRANDS

Getting Where You Want to Go.

Want to drive less? Need a ride to an appointment or the store? Our Volunteer drivers help Members get where they want to go while maintaining their freedom and independence.

Members can request rides for:

  • Medical appointments
  • Grocery shopping
  • Errands
  • Everyday needs
  • Neighbors Network activities and events

Members may use up to four round-trip rides per month, plus unlimited rides to Neighbors Network events and activities.

EVERYDAY HELP

An Extra Hand Can Make All the Difference.

There are plenty of things around the house that don’t require a professional, but are a whole lot easier with someone there to help.

Depending on Volunteer availability, Members may receive assistance with:

  • Minor household tasks and repairs
  • Light organizing
  • Changing light bulbs or smoke detector batteries
  • Moving light boxes or furniture
  • Seasonal household projects
  • Light gardening
  • Preparing for guests or holidays
  • Other everyday tasks that may be more convenient with an extra set of hands

TECHNOLOGY HELP

Technology Should Make Life Easier, Not More Frustrating.

New phone acting up? Can’t figure out why the TV suddenly looks different? Need a hand with your computer or email?

Neighbors Network Volunteers can help Members navigate everyday technology, including:

Cell Phones • Computers • Email • Televisions • Remotes • Everyday Devices

Helping You Find the Right Kind of Help.

Some projects and needs require professional expertise beyond what a Neighbors Network Volunteer can provide.

When that happens, Neighbors Network may provide contact information for professional service providers who have been recommended by Members, Volunteers, or others within the community.

Members choose, hire, and pay professional service providers directly.
