OUR STORY
Neighbors Helping Neighbors Since 2013.
Neighbors Network was built on a simple belief: adults should be able to continue living in the homes and communities they love while staying independent, active, and connected.
What began as an idea in Winter Park has grown into a community of Members, Volunteers, supporters, and local partners helping make aging in place possible throughout Central Florida.
OUR MISSION
Independent. Active. Connected.
Our mission is simple: Neighbors Helping Neighbors Stay Independent, Active, Connected.
We connect adults 55+ with trusted Volunteers, practical assistance, social opportunities, and community resources that help them continue living life on their own terms, in their own homes and neighborhoods.
OUR MISSION
Stay in the Community You Already Call Home.
Neighbors Network isn’t a senior living community, home healthcare company, or caregiving agency. We’re a community-based nonprofit built around connection.
Members continue living in their own homes while gaining access to a trusted network of people, activities, resources, and practical support. Some join because they want a little help. Others join for friendship, activities, or simply to build their network for the future.
It’s support without giving up independence, and community without having to leave your community.
OUR STORY
It Started With a Simple Idea.
The story began when founder Annette Kelly learned about the community-based “village” model for aging in place and saw the potential to bring something similar to Central Florida.
After years of planning, community conversations, and a feasibility study funded by the Winter Park Health Foundation, Neighbors Network officially launched in 2013. Membership opened that October, connecting local adults with Volunteers and resources that could help them remain independent in their own homes.
In 2016, Neighbors Network became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since then, the organization has continued to grow its membership, Volunteer network, programs, partnerships, and financial assistance for Members.

A Network Built by People Who Care.
Members, Volunteers, donors, community partners, and local organizations all play a part in Neighbors Network.
It’s a model built around people helping people, whether that’s giving someone a ride, sharing a skill, enjoying lunch together, supporting a membership scholarship, or simply showing up for a neighbor.
There's a Place for You in the Network.
Whether you’re planning ahead for your own independence, looking for a meaningful way to volunteer, or want to support older adults in your community, there’s more than one way to be a good neighbor.
