Neighbors Network Loves our Volunteers!
You are the Heart of Neighbors Network. What you do with and for our Members makes such a difference in their lives. We appreciate you for sharing your time and talent with them.
Volunteer Orientations are held every 3 or 4 months. All Volunteers are asked to attend an Orientation session to learn about their role and responsibilities in Neighbors Network. It’s also a great chance to meet other Volunteers and learn from their experience. All Volunteers are asked to become familiar with the Volunteer Handbook.
Neighbors Network honors its Volunteers to show our appreciation for your vital contributions. Back on February 27, 2014, we were thrilled to recognize Volunteers for 70 hours of direct service to members in our first six months of operation!
Tracking Volunteer Activities and Hours
Neighbors Network tracks Volunteers’ hours so that we can recognize them and report total Volunteer Hours to funding organizations and others. We ask that you email the Volunteer Coordinator each time you spend time helping Neighbors Network.
On rare occasions, a Volunteer may need to purchase an item on behalf of a Neighbors Network Member. If this occurs, we ask the Volunteer to please contact one of the Volunteer Coordinators before purchasing an item. If authorized to purchase the item, the Volunteer can request reimbursement for items valued typically at less than $20.
Communicating with Volunteers
Periodically, Neighbors Network sends a Volunteer Newsletter to keep you informed of what’s happening and ask for your ideas and feedback. We’re always open to your feedback.
