Kristin Abramson
Board Secretary
Kristin is a master’s student in social work with a heart for older adults and a deep belief in the power of community. As Secretary of the Neighbors Network Board, she is proud to support an organization that helps older adults stay independent, connected, and in the homes and neighborhoods they cherish. For over 24 years, Kristin has been a licensed massage therapist, often serving older adult clients – an experience that deepened her respect for their strength, resilience, and life stories. Her path toward social work was inspired by her own experience caring for family members living with dementia, which strengthened her passion for supporting older adults and their families. Kristin volunteers because this work lets her be her truest self: helping people, building relationships, and making everyday life a little easier for those she serves. She sees the difference in small moments: a safe ride, a fixed lightbulb, a kind voice on the phone. These are the threads that weave a stronger, more caring community.
Her vision is for Neighbors Network to continue growing, reaching more people, and sparking more connections, so no one feels alone in their journey of aging. When she’s not studying or volunteering, Kristin enjoys spending quality time with her son, practicing yoga, soaking up live music, exploring the healing world of art therapy, and getting her hands dirty in the garden.
